About This Event

Mads Kjeldgaard will play a computer music set using their system for performance, improvisation, and composition: M.A.S.S (Modular Algorithmic Sound System), an abstract instrument of compositions and compositional decisions that has been developed by Kjeldgaard over the past years. By combining elements of algorithmic composition, geometric rhythms, and generative music techniques, this instrument enables a wide range of musical explorations in electronic music. The concert will be improvised using M.A.S.S. and will move through a musical landscape inspired by J.S. Bach, New Yorker Minimalism, and silly 1990's Japanese Game Soundtracks.

The evening will feature a duo set by Mikkel Schou and Rob Durnin, as well as a solo set by Mads Kjeldgaard.
